MILLENNIUM BCP IN THE PREVENTION OF FOREST FIRES

Millennium bcp rejoins the "PORTUGAL CHAMA", campaign, an initiative of "AGIF – Agency for Integrated Management of Rural Fires", which aims to contribute to the prevention of forest fires and raise public awareness of risky behaviors.

Preventing fires, protecting people, the forest and minimizing the economic and social impact of fires, is a collective design that involves the prevention of risky behaviors and alert to their consequences.

It is in this context that Millennium bcp, materializing its Corporate Social Responsibility policy and its commitment to the preservation of nature and biodiversity and climate change mitigation, once again participates - as it has been doing since 2014 - in the national effort to reduce, through the prevention of risk behaviors, the number, extent and impact of forest fires.

Because to speak of the Forest is to speak of the future, to prevent forest fires, testimony of active and responsible citizenship, is a civic power/duty that mobilizes us all.

Within the scope of Portugal Chama was also created a campaign dedicated to children - Raposa Chama.

The newest are the ambassadors of this cause that is everyone's – Protecting Portugal from serious rural fires – and are also strong influencers that could help to reverse the current situation of more than half of the fires causing negligence.

Also sensitize your children and younger family members to the importance of being responsible for our behavior stemming from fires and the protection of people, property, animals and the Forest.

We count on you on this mission, which is everyone's!

IF THERE IS RISK, DO NOT RISK.
PORTUGAL WITHOUT FIRES DEPENDS ON ALL.
