In 2015, Millennium group continues to reduce its ecological "footprint"...

In 2015, Millennium group continues to reduce its ecological

The Millennium group has been developing a Sustainability strategy that incorporates and promotes a culture of environmental responsibility. That's how the protection of the environment, the preservation of natural resources, the fight against climate changes and the rationalization of consumption, constitute the essential objectives of environmental policy that we have been developing and implementing in all geographies.

As result of this multi-domestic commitment assumed in Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Poland and Switzerland, we have managed, in the development of our activity in 2015 and when compared to 2014, a new significant reduction in the consumptions of a set of resources, of which we highlight:

- 13% Electricity
- 7% Materials
- 13% Energy
- 35% Water
- 8% Greenhouse Gases (CO2)

These results, which motivate us to pursue policies – and to adopt practices – to continue to enable the consistent decrease of consumption and waste of resources in the different operations of the Group, are an important contribution to the effort of optimizing operating costs, but mainly for mitigating ecological "footprint" of the Millennium in the world.

We know that the rationalization of consumption is a challenge of citizenship that we all face, everywhere, every day. The solution is (also) in our hands.

See, soon, the detail of indicators of environmental performance of Millennium group throughout 2015, both in Portugal and in international operations.
