In 2016, Millennium group reduce again its ecological - footprint...

The Millennium bcp has been developing a Sustainability strategy that incorporates and promotes a culture of environmental responsibility. That's how the protection of the environment, the preservation of natural resources, the adaptation to climate changes and the rationalization of consumption, constitute the essential objectives of environmental policy that we have been developing and implementing in all geographies.

As result of this multi-domestic commitment assumed in Portugal, Mozambique, Poland and Switzerland, we have managed, in the development of our activity in 2016 and when compared to 2015, a new significant reduction in the consumptions of a set of resources, which we highlight.

  • 8% Electricity
  • 7% Materials
  • 7% Energy
  • 33% Water
  • 53% Waste produced
  • 1% Greenhouse Gases (CO2)

These results, which motivate us to pursue policies - and to adopt practices - to continue to enable the consistent decrease of consumption and waste of resources in the different operations of the Group, are an important contribution to the effort of optimizing operating costs, but mainly for mitigating ecological "footprint" of the Millennium in the world.

Here we can, make the difference...

See, soon, the detail of indicators of environmental performance of Millennium group throughout 2016, both in Portugal and in international operations.
