Millennium in Solidarity: (one more) next to People affected by fires...

It has recently finished another "Millennium in Solidarity" campaign, this time in favour of people and families who have seen their lives affected by the forest fires of October.

This new internal action - coupled with other solidarity initiatives for direct aid to affected populations - aimed to collect food, hygiene products, clothing and household items.

As a result of the commitment of the Bank's Employees at the national level, more than 70 boxes with donations were available at the collection points in Lisbon and Oporto, which were then delivered to Banco Alimentar / Entrajuda - partner in this Social Responsibility action - which is now sending them to the populations of the region’s most affected by the fires.

The Millennium bcp Sustainability policy, which foresees the development of actions that consolidate a culture of proximity with the capacity to add social value, had in this initiative another example of the materialization of principles of solidarity and corporate social responsibility - which have always distinguished the Bank and its Employees -, revealing an active, participatory and impactful citizenship, but, above all, a consequent commitment to causes and values.

Here we can, Make a Difference.
