Equipment donation to Institutions

Equipment donation to Institutions

Millennium bcp, as part of its Sustainability strategy, has, over the years, pursue a policy of equipment donations to institutions of recognized merit and capacity for social intervention.

In 2013, according to information reported in the Sustainability Report, about 40 institutions - solidarity, public and private - have benefited from this approach to local communities materialized in the delivery of various goods, namely office supplies and computers, which though used are in good condition.

The Bank donations policy is an important testimony of how we have been able to interpret our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, with a practice that - adding a clear social value and contributing to improve the quality of the support provided by the solidarity organizations -, has been pursued continuously, being already several the examples of donations made in 2014.

Protocol with Entrajuda

In addition to these grants, Millennium bcp established in 2009 a collaboration agreement with ENTRAJUDA, that is, since then, the primary recipient of the material donated by the Bank in Portugal, in a partnership aiming to get all these goods and equipment to those who need them more.

Remember that ENTRAJUDA is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity, formed in April 2004 and recognized as a legal person of public utility in April 2005.

"Inspired by the work of the Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome - Lisboa (Food Bank Against Hunger - Lisbon), which is indeed the genesis of its constitution, ENTRAJUDA establishes a bridge between those who want to give and those who need to receive, allowing the creation of a real chain of solidarity where volunteers, partners and benefactors join forces to improve, in a structuring and sustainable manner, the operation of charitable institutions selected."
