Millennium BCP wins award for Social Responsibility external best practices...

Millennium bcp, through its Contact Centre, has just been awarded the Best Practice Award for Social Responsibility 2014 (in Social Responsibility external perspective) assigned by APCC (Portuguese Association of Contact Centers).

This prize was first awarded by the APCC, in the context of the celebrations of its 10th anniversary, being Millennium bcp his first winner.

Among the factors that contributed to the distinction, we highlight the following:

  • Reduction of consumption: the Contact Centre, unit integrated in Direct Banking division, becomes involved in the optimization of energy consumption and other resources, being its employees committed to reducing the ecological "footprint";
  • Scanning: The campaigns of adherence to digital statements are part of Millennium bcp strategy and, consequently, of the Contact Center, and have contributed to the dematerialization of processes and documents, assuring, simultaneously, the reduce of paper use and the improvement o the service provided to customers;
  • Security: In recent years, employees of the Division participated in the initiative "The Safer Internet Day" in partnership with Microsoft and Epis (Entrepreneurs for Social Inclusion), that resulted in important experiences of volunteering and community outreach;
  • Projects of Social Solidarity: Reference project of the Direct Banking Division in social solidarity, which includes regular collections of various goods and products for delivery to the local authority of Porto Salvo, which, in turn, makes them reach their poorest people.

These are just some of the activities that the Direct Banking Division of Millennium bcp has been developing in the chapter on Social Responsibility and who make this award a moment of recognition and satisfaction for its members.

Fostering a culture of social responsibility and positively influence the long-term value proposition of the organization, balanced with the welfare of the people, businesses and communities in which it operates, are the main policy objectives of Sustainability policies that we have been implementing.
