Millennium group continues to reduce its ecological footprint in 2014

The Millennium group has been developing a Sustainability strategy that incorporates and promotes a culture of environmental responsibility. That's how the protection of the environment, the preservation of natural resources and the rationalization of consumption, constitute the essential objectives of environmental policy that we have been developing and implementing in all geographies.

As result of this multi-domestic commitment assumed in Portugal, Poland, Mozambique and Angola, conseguimos, no desenvolvimento da nossa atividade em 2014 e quando comparado com 2013, uma reduction from a diverse set of resources, dos quais destacamos:

  • 15% Electricity
  • 7 % Materials
  • 25% Energy
  • 35 % Greenhouse Gases (CO2)

These results, which motivate us to pursue policies – and to adopt practices – to continue to enable the consistent decrease of consumption and waste of resources in the different operations of the Group, are an important contribution to the effort of optimizing operating costs, but mainly for mitigating ecological "footprint" of the Millennium in the world.

We know that the rationalization of consumption is a challenge of citizenship that we all face, everywhere, every day. The solution is (also) in our hands.

See, soon, the detail of ndicators of environmental performance of Millennium group throughout 2014, both in Portugal and in international operations.
