Millennium bcp Microcredit distinguishes entrepreneurs with the Prémio Realizar...

Millennium bcp Microcredit last week awarded two entrepreneurs in the 4th edition of the Prémio Realizar awards, the annual initiative that aims to stimulate entrepreneurial spirit, rewarding customers who discovered Millenium bcp Microcredit as a solution for implementing their projects.

With the aim of recognising the creativity and the quality of the business ideas of these microentrepreneurs, the Prémio Realizar is divided into two categories: Dynamism & Innovation and Best Execution.

In the first category the winner was OMA - Aveiro Music Workshop, which provides students with a complete experience for music, theater, dance and other performing arts.

For the category of Best Execution, the winner was João Pereira, founder of Bananihorta, a farm in Funchal, Madeira, producing mainly Madeira Bananas, a speciality of the island.

At the award ceremony the importance of microcredit was stressed by Ana Torres, Retail Network Coordinator responsible for the Microcredit unit: “Millennium bcp was a pioneer in Portugal in the area of Microcredit, in which it currently has about 16 years experience. Over the years, we were able to help create more than 5,000 jobs through our support, which we aim to continue giving, to entrepreneurs with good business ideas. Our Mission is to support good businesses without access to traditional credit, giving these people direction and a new life. It is this entrepreneurial spirit that we recognize and reward with this prize”.
