Costs

Maintenance Fee:

Exempt.

Exemption from maintenance fees shall not apply to accounts that meet all 3 following conditions:

  • Balance of 25€ or under 25 €;
  • No credit or debit entries in the last 6 months;
  • No associated product

In this case, you will have to pay a 5.20 € monthly fee (plus Stamp tax).

Features

Who may apply:

Individual Clients aged between 0 and 17 years old.
The account may be opened by the parents, legal representatives, being the minor the sole holder.

Minimum amount:

50 €

Maintenance Fee:

Exempt, provided that determined assumptions are observed (see "Costs").

Other issues

Can a minor open an account with Millennium bcp?
Yes, but the opening of the account will have to be carried out by his/her parents or legal representatives. The minor will be the first holder of the account.

Which documents do I have to present to open the account?
You must deliver the following documents from all those who intervene in the account opening process:

  • Identification
    ID Card, Citizen Card or Passport or a Birth Certificate;
  • Address
    A document stating your address (utilities bill) or Driver's Licence, income tax statement or statement issued by your local authority;
    If the client is a minor - Evidence of the parents/legal representatives' address and statement attesting that they and the minor live at the same address;
  • Tax Identification Number
    Taxpayer's Card or Citizen Card;
  • Occupation/Employer
    Wage receipt or employee card or a self-employed receipt;

Do I have to open a new account to consult and use my financial assets through millenniumbcp.pt?
If you already hold an account with Millennium bcp, you do not need to open a new account. If you are not yet a customer of Millennium bcp, you may immediately request the necessary information for the opening of a current account since when you register at millenniumbcp.pt, you will get immediate access to all your accounts with Millennium bcp.

How can I change the holders of my account?
To alter the ownership of your account, include a new holder or remove one, you must preferably go to your Millennium bcp Branch together with the remainder Account holders so as to formalize, in writing, the intended alteration.

How can I close an account?
To close an account you should do the following:

  • Fill in the document formalising the request for the closing of the account. This document must be signed by all account holders;
  • Deliver all the means of payment which are in the possession of all the account holders.
