New Governance Code

In January 2018, the new Corporate Governance Code, issued by the Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance and in line with the best international practices and trends, entered into force. The new code pays increased attention to information flows, to the operation of the governing and, in particular, supervisory bodies, to conflicts of interest and to transactions with related parties, to the role of independent directors, gender diversity in the composition of governing bodies, and to risk management.
